Strawberry Fields

The temperatures are rising, we’re thawing out, and summer is well on its way.  (Yes, I realize that tomorrow marks the first day of SPRING, not summer, but momentum is on our side.)  With summer comes fresh fruit season, and econo-sized packs of it.  I somehow managed to happen upon the largest pack of strawberries my eyes have ever seen today.  Check out this bad boy:

64 oz. of ripe deliciousness

Now, initially, I was enamored, but once the honeymoon period was over, I began to worry about how I was going to eat all of these before they went bad.  This is when inspiration kicked in, and I vowed that I was going to eat every single strawberry in that box before the week was over.  Join me this week to see the creative ways that I plan to use them.

This is going to be awesome.

I wish I could find a big thing of strawberries like that here in Chicago.
