Tuesday Review Day: Fonda + Park Slope

Recently, to celebrate my temporary freedom from everything related to school, my boyfriend and I decided to splurge on a nice dinner.  We went to Fonda, a modern Mexican restaurant in Park Slope.  It was amazing!

Despite the limited space (when is space NOT a hot commodity here?) the decor is modern and sexy, but, by far, the star of this place is the food.  It is a new twist on comida Mexicana.  I had the Pork Adobo, which was a braised pork shoulder with savory ancho chile sauce, served in a bowl made of banana leaves.

Oh, and ladies, if you’re into margaritas, Fonda’s are great.  I personally love the sassy silver tequila, hibiscus infusion, orange liquor & lime juice ‘rita named Rosalita.  The restaurant has a nice Margarita Clasica, as well.

Hit it, guys.  I’m totally serious.  You won’t be disappointed.

I am still looking for a Texas Margarita that peppers the rim like they do at Fonda–best Margarita ever hands down!

You know I love me some margaritas. Next time I’m up, we’ll go!
